iBall has launched iBall Slide 6351-Q40i, the latest budget tablet in the iBall Slide series and the successor of last year's iBall Slide 6351-Q40. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, other specifications are similar to the Q40, including a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS, 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, VGA front-facing camera, 512MB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot and a 2500mAh battery.
Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director, iBall, said,

The tablet market in India has reported quarter-on-quarter growth of 3.6%, according to a report by Research Firm IDC (International Data Corporation). A total of 0.96 million tablets were shipped in the Q4, 2014. iBall that was in the third spot, behind Micromax in Q3 2014 has jumped up to the first spot in Q4 2014 overtaking Samsung, to be come the leading tablet maker in the country in terms of shipments.
iBall grabs 15.6% market share in Q4 2014, up from 4.5% share in Q4 2013. Samsung grabs 12.9% share, compared to 17.9% share in Q4 2013. DATAWIND comes close with 9.6% share. Micromax that was in the second spot in Q3 2014 is no where to be seen in the top five spots.
Since the share of PC OEMs in the market has grown by more than double year-on-year, 2014 has posted tablet shipments of 3.5 million, down 15% compared to 2013, says IDC. 7-inch tablets under $150 (Rs. 9000 approx.) increased in the quarter and will continue to foreseeable future, says the report.

iBall Cobalt Oomph 4.7D, the company's latest smartphone in the Cobalt series with sleek metallic design is now available from retail stores, according to Mumbai-based retailer Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) that is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
It also has a large home button and a similar design as the iPhone. It comes with dual SIM support, similar to other iBall smartphones. No details about the dimensions and the weight of the smartphone yet.

iBall Andi 5M Xotic surfaced earlier this month revealing 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Now the smartphone is available for sale from eBay. It has a 5-inch qHD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) that is upgradable to Android 5.0 (Lollipop). The iBall Slide WQ32 has a 8-inch (800 x 1280 pixels) multi-touch IPS display with 178-degree viewing angle. It is powered by a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735D processor with speed burst up to 1.86GHz and has 2GB of RAM. There is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a Windows capacitive touch button on the bezel.
The back cover is not removable, but there are slots for SIM card and a microSD card. It also has HDMI support. On the back there is a 5-megapixel auto focus camera without flash. It has 16GB of internal storage and packs a 14Wh battery.
The keyboard keys comes in handy and the case also acts as a stand to work comfortably. Since it runs on Windows 8.1, it can run software that you normally run on your PC. The tablet also comes with free Microsoft Office 365 license for one year.
